Cornerstone Covenant Church to Host Annual Yard Sale Sept. 6

The Cornerstone Covenant Church is holding its annual free-admission Community Yard Sale, Saturday, Sept. 6 from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church, located at 4105 Crowell Road.

The well-known event and the largest of its kind in Turlock is a gathering of 75 sellers selling household treasures of all sorts, hundreds of Turlock neighbors, vendors from various organizations, and of course good food and groovin’ music.

Vendors this year will include Prodigal Sons & Daughters, ABC Project, We Care Turlock, Celebrate Recovery, Turlock Gospel Mission and Teen Challenge.

Teen Challenge will be collecting donations of household goods during and after the sale.

If you’ve been meaning to clean out your closet or reclaim your garage the Community Yard Sale is an excellent opportunity to do so. Seller spaces are just $25 and are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Sellers keep all the money they make.

“As a seller, the community yard sale is an excellent motivator to clean out the garage,” said Justin Marty, the event’s organizer for the past four years. “I know several sellers who will put off their annual purging each year until the sale comes around in September. As a buyer, the yard sale is a bargain seekers paradise. Where else can you hit so many yard sales at one time! Plus, the sale provides some great local non-profits the opportunity to get out and meet some people they wouldn’t normally see.”

Seller spaces are limited and as of Thursday morning, as only 12 spots remained. To reserve your space call Cornerstone Covenant Church at 209-667-6768.
