California State University, Stanislaus, once saddled with the moniker, “Turkey Tech,” continues to gobble up the accolades and honors for its overall performance in academics and its value for students.

For the ninth consecutive year CSU Stanislaus earned a place in prestigious Princeton Review’s “The Best 379 Colleges” guide.

Colleges and universities in the guide are selected based on categories ranging from academics and admission rates to financial aid and quality of life. Each university profile in the book also includes comments gathered from a Princeton Review survey of 130,000 students from the 379 schools in the book.

Also announced recently, CSU Stanislaus placed no. 173 out of 1,500 four-year colleges in Money magazine’s Best Colleges list, earning a B+ grade for giving students the most value for their money in terms of educational quality, affordability and alumni earnings.

The gobbling continued with an appearance in Forbes Magazine’s America’s Top Colleges list, which focuses on the return in investment students receive from their alma mater. CSU Stanislaus was ranked 476 out of the top 650 schools in the nation for postgraduate success, student debt, graduation rate and academic success. It was ranked no. 88 in the West region.

“To appear in these ranking is a testament to the value students receive in a CSU Stanislaus education,” President Joseph F. Sheley said. “Our graduates are smart and adaptable, and they enter the workforce prepared for success not just in the short term, but throughout their careers.”
