Dog Missing After Hit-and-run Accident

The family of a couple who were struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run accident last Thursday night are now searching for the couple’s lost dog.

Last Thursday, a driver in a white car jumped a curb on Joett Drive near Summerfaire Park in Turlock and struck a 46-year-old woman and her husband, 53. The woman, Elizabeth Mancha, died and her husband, Dave, remains in the hospital recovering from his injuries. The driver reportedly fled the scene on foot.

Lost in the tragedy was the couple’s dog, Dolly, an Australian Shepard mix who was being walked at the time of the collision. Dolly was wearing a pink harness or collar and a leash when the couple was struck. Dolly may be injured or scared and hiding.

According to Turlock police, Dolly was not found at the scene

It is unknown if Dolly was injured or not. As of 1 p.m. today, she has yet to be found.
