KCSS 91.9 FM, the student-run radio station on the California State University, Stanislaus campus, has released their first compilation album, “Take 1,” which is now available for purchase. Last week, U.S. Representative Jeff Denham (R-Turlock) presented local Korean War Veteran Edwin Gene Benedix with a Purple Heart medal for his service in the U.S. Army. The Purple Heart is awarded to U.S. Armed Services members who, while serving in any capacity after April 5, 1917, have been wounded or killed in battle.
Turlock’s federal, state, and local representatives will come together on May 7 for the Fourth Annual Government Night, allowing constituents to a chance to ask officials key questions in a town hall-style setting.
