Homicide Victim Identified from Angelus Street Shooting

The Turlock Police Department has released the identity of the homicide victim in the Angelus Street shooting that occurred on Sunday night.

At approximately 11:50 p.m. on Sunday, Turlock Police officers responded to the report of shots fired in the 300 block of Angelus Street.

According to Turlock Police Lieutenant James Silveira, shortly after arrival, officers located a middle aged male down in the alley with an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital where despite lifesaving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.

The victim is being identified as Justin Anderson, 38 years old, of Turlock.

The death is being reported as a homicide.

Turlock Police Spokesman, Sergeant Russ Holeman, released information stating that this is an active investigation as detectives continue to interview witnesses and as they process evidence located at the scene.
