Investment Expert David Gardner to Give Smart Money Tips at CSU Stanislaus

Investment expert and co-founder of Motley Fool David Gardner will be speaking at California State University, Stanislaus on Feb. 26.

Gardner will give a free and down-to-earth presentation on money management and making rational financial decisions. The “Eight Foolish Thoughts on Investing, Business and Life” featuring Gardner is part of the Executive Speaker Series at CSU Stanislaus.

“The vision of the College of Business Administration is to be the business education nucleus of the region,” said Professor David Lindsay, Interim Dean of the College of Business Administration. “The speaker series brings students, faculty and community together to hear experts speak on topics that are crucial to our region.”

He has a 20-year track record of making solid picks for sound investments, including Amazon, Netflix, and Priceline.com. Gardner graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Morehead-Cain Scholar and received the Distinguished Young Alumni Award. He has also served on the Individual Investor Advisory Committee of the New York Stock Exchange for 15 years.

The event will be hosted from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Feb. 26 in Snider Recital Hall at CSU Stanislaus. The event is free, but seating is limited and an RSVP is required. To RSVP, call 209-667-3131.

Although seating is limited, overflow seating will be provided, if necessary, where the event will be live-streamed.

Free parking for guests will be available in Lot 3, on the west side of campus.

“Eight Foolish Thoughts on Investing, Business and Life” is part of the Executive Speaker Series and presented this year by Winton-Ireland, Strom & Green and the CSU Stanislaus College of Business Administration. The forums make the expertise of leaders from a wide range of industries available to students and the public.
