Man Found Sleeping in Turlock DMV Office

A Department of Motor Vehicles employee found a transient male sleeping in the Turlock DMV office Friday morning.

Turlock police spokesperson Lt. Ron Reid said that the employee arrived at the DMV for work around 7:23 a.m. Friday and found the man sleeping inside the office.

She immediately called police. Officers responded to the DMV, located on the corner of Monte Vista and Olive avenues.

There was no evidence of forced entry. Reid said there was an unsecured door that the man used to make his way into the DMV.

There was no damage and nothing was taken. The man was only sleeping.

Upon arriving, police called an ambulance. The man was not arrested, and was transported to an area hospital, said Reid.

The man did not have significant medical issues; he was transported to the hospital as a precaution.
