MedicAlert Foundation to Host Free Super Hero Kids Health and Safety Fair

The MedicAlert Foundation will host the free, third annual Super Hero Kids Health and Safety Fair from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 2 at the MedicAlert Campus, 2323 Colorado Ave.

This year’s event features a special “Super Hero Bicycle Training Course,” where participants will learn and practice safe bicycling skills including the safe way to exit a driveway, how to look for traffic, negotiate an intersection, and avoid common road hazards.

Attendees can also receive free information about the Affordable Care Act (also known as ObamaCare) from local insurance agencies. Also, Kaiser Permanente's “SHOPkp Mobile Enrollment Van” will be on-hand to help answer community members’ health coverage questions and to provide information about Kaiser Permanente health plans.

The event will offer a multitude of activities for all ages including:

• Free Health Screenings & Clinics- Blood pressure testing, vision/hearing screenings, and more
• First Responder Activities- Fire and police training demonstrations, car seat safety checks
• Fun for Kids- Bounce house, face-painting, crafts, teddy bear clinic, live animal exhibitions
