New Country Bar to Open in Former Vintage Lounge Location

Get ready to hop off that saddle, kick off them stirrups and get your whistle wet – there’s a new watering hole coming to Turlock.

“The Udder Place,” a country-western-themed full service bar is set to open in early 2015 at 110 W. Main St. – the former location of the Vintage Lounge & Piano Bar, and Scottie’s, an old hole in the wall bar.

Owners Jerry Powell and Shayne Heine say the new bar is much needed in town.

“There really isn’t a western-themed bar in Turlock and we just thought there is a need for one,” said Powell.

Cowpokes can giddy on up to the bar and expect cold beers on tap and in bottles, wine, and hard alcohol. The beers on tap will be the main attraction according to Powell, as they aim to have a large selection of draft beers on offer to customers.

Presumably they have found draft beer system installers to install all of the necessary beer systems. This will also mean they have a company who can service and maintain these systems, as by the sounds of it they will be getting a lot of use!

Unlike numerous other establishments in Downtown Turlock, patrons can mosey on in to The Udder Place seven days a week.

Powell says the décor will honor the local agriculture industry and western heritage.

As with any good country-western bar, you can expect a jukebox and games such as darts to be available.

Light snacks will be served for patrons.
