Police Name New Suspect in Pioneer Ave. Homicide

Turlock Police Department investigators have identified a third suspect believed to be involved in the murder of Amritpal Sandhu.

The suspect, Cole Nathanial Millington, 23, is described as a white male adult standing 5-feet 11-inches tall and weighing 185 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.

Millington is wanted for murder, Turlock Police Department spokesperson Officer Mayra Lewis said.

Turlock police ask anyone with information regarding Millington’s whereabouts to contact Det. Timothy Redd by calling 209-668-5550 ext. 6625.

Sandhu, 21, of Modesto, was murdered near Downtown Turlock in November following an extended car-chase shooting.

The incident began at roughly 1:25 a.m. Nov. 6, when Sandhu called 9-1-1 to report that unknown men were shooting at him while driving down Highway 99. Shortly thereafter, gunshots were reported near Downtown Turlock.

Sandhu was found dead in his car, a white Inifiniti sedan, just a few blocks away. The car jumped the curb in front of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at the intersection of East Main Street and Minaret Avenue. Bullet casings were located on Pioneer Avenue, and the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department Dive Team later searched the Donnelly Park lake for the murder weapon.

Two men, Pardeep Singh, 21, and Kultar Singh Dhatt, 22, both of Turlock, were arrested on Nov. 7 for the murder of Sandhu. Singh also faces charges of assault with a firearm, and shooting at an inhabited dwelling or occupied car.

A family friend of Sandhu told TurlockCityNews.com that Singh held a grudge against Sandhu, and had previously shot at Sandhu's garage. The man asked not to be named.
