Community church members were organized by Ron Visco to advocate alternatives to abortion and promote the “pro-life” perspective.

Ron Visco was the coordinator of the gathering. He noted that this was a coalition of various churches in the area.

When asked if the gathering was in response to the government funding Planned Parenthood and the media issues surrounding it, he said, “I can see how you might think that, but that’s not what this is about… We are pro-life.”

The group stood on the corner of Main Street and Golden State Boulevard from 2-4 p.m. with signs advocating both adoption and the end of abortion practices.

Others with the cause were also seen in Modesto.
