Stanislaus Sheriff’s Department Looking for Homicide Suspect

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department are looking for a suspect wanted for the murder of a 59-year-old man in Riverbank Tuesday night.

The victim was killed in an altercation around 10 p.m. on the 3700 block of Texas Avenue. The victim’s identity is not being released at this time, pending the notification of his family.

The suspect in the homicide has been identified as Isaac James Vaughn, 33, of Riverbank. Vaughn is also known by the name Daniel Cross.

Sheriff’s deputies found the victim partially clothed, lying in the front yard of a residence when they arrived on scene. An adult female was found hiding inside the residence, but she was uninjured.

Detectives on scene collected evidence and interviewed witnesses throughout the night of the incident. An autopsy has been completed and the incident has been ruled a homicide by the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department.

Vaughn is currently at-large, is considered dangerous, and is wanted by Sheriff’s detectives for questioning.
