The Turlock City Arts Commission and City of Turlock Recreation Division are presenting a summer of creative exploration in camps and classes for kids ages 2-12. Classes fill up quickly, so don’t wait to schedule your time to learn, create and have fun!   Register on line at www.cityofturlock.org, or call the City of Turlock Recreation Division at 668-5594.

Mini Picasso Art Camp and Creative Studio Art Camp
Children will love these open-ended art experiences. In each camp session kids are introduced to a wide range of art materials and ideas. They are encouraged to discover various processes such as mixed media painting, drawing, sculpting with clay, printmaking and more. Each session is unique and age-appropriate, with lots of fun, creative projects and opportunities to explore! Mini Picasso camp is for kids ages 5-7 and Creative Studios are for kids ages 8-12. Some sessions have a theme that will connect creative projects (like the ocean in “Sand ‘n Surf” or famous artists in “Masterpieces”). Several sessions are “Creation Labs” where the projects have no theme and a child’s creativity can take him or her almost anywhere. Art camps will be held in the War Memorial building on Canal Drive, Monday – Thursday from 9 a.m. – noon. Fee is $60 per session. Pre-registration is required.
