Suspect Wanted for Attempted Murder, Sheriff’s Department Asking for Public’s Help

The Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Department is asking for the public’s help in finding a man wanted for attempted murder.

On Aug. 23, at 11 p.m., Jeremy Rodriguez was involved in an argument with a 41-year-old male at the corner of Country Manor Drive and Jackson Avenue in Riverbank.

According to a Sheriff’s Department press release, the argument escalated and Rodriguez rammed the male’s vehicle with his 2000 Chevy Astro Van, striking the victim’s driver side door. The victim, who was trying to get out of his vehicle when he was struck, was able to get back into his car and drive away so he could call 911.

The victim suffered severe injuries to one of his legs and was transported to the emergency room for treatment. A passenger in his vehicle was also injured.

Rodriguez fled in his vehicle prior to deputies arriving.

Rodriguez is wanted for attempted murder and is known to frequent the cities of Riverbank, Oakdale and Modesto.

He was driving a white 2000 Chevy Astro Van with California license plate #6H52686.
