Turlock Gospel Mission Needs Food for Thanksgiving Dinner

The Turlock Gospel Mission will hold a free Thanksgiving Dinner this year from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at it’s soon-to-be year-round shelter at 437 Broadway. TGM is anticipating 400 meals to be served and the dinner is open to the public.

Volunteers are needed the day before Thanksgiving to help set up, and the day of to help serve food. Food items are also needed for the dinner.

TGM needs donations including turkeys, sweet potatoes, yams, potatoes, dinner rolls, green beans, cranberry sauce, apple sauce, butter, pies of all kinds, coffee, creamers, cubed sugar, bottled water, tea, milk, crystal lite, chicken broth, canned whipped cream, celery, brown sugar, hot and cold cups, plastic silverware, napkins, heavy-duty plastic dinner plates, dessert plates, carry-out containers, turkey cooking bags, aluminum pans, coffee pots, tables, chairs and steam tables.
