Looking for a way to get some exercise and give back to the community at the same time?
The Salvation Army of Turlock is hosting the Third Annual Kettle Dash Run/Walk 5K and 10K beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.
This year’s Kettle Dash, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Greater Turlock and Emanuel Family Practice, will feature a new course designed to showcase Downtown Turlock and the surrounding neighborhoods. The course will begin at the corner of East Main Street and Center Street.
Proceeds from the Kettle Dash will benefit the Salvation Army's Turlock Community Center.
Registration is $30 for the 5K Run/Walk and $35 for the 10K Run/Walk. Kids 13 and under run free.
Registration and check-in runs from 7:30 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. The 10k begins at 9 a.m., followed by the 5K at 9:15 a.m. The Kids Kettle Dash starts at 9:20 a.m.
The first 300 entrants receive a free long-sleeve tech T-Shirt and goodie bag of food, gifts and coupons.
