Victim Jumped by Five Men in Turlock

A Turlock man was sent to hospital after he was “jumped” by five men on Friday afternoon.

The victim, a 30-year-old male from Turlock, was allegedly “jumped” by five hispanic males on Angelus Street around 5 p.m. Friday, said Turlock police spokesperson Lt. Ron Reid.

The victim was riding his bike on Angelus Street when he was attacked by the five males, said Reid.

Reid said the victim was transported to an area hospital from Angelus Street following the attack.

Around the same time, there was a large amount of Turlock police and emergency services activity at an apartment complex in the 1000 block of North Olive Avenue. Neighbors of the apartments said the man being transported from the apartments was “jumped” and beaten up.

It could not be confirmed if the victim taken from the North Olive Avenue apartment is related to the incident on Angelus Street.

The victim could not provide many details of the assailants, so there are no suspects at this time, said Reid.

It is unknown at this time why the victim was attacked by the five males.
