First Road Dog Cycle Prosecution Fails

Raul DeLeon, a former Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Captain, was prosecuted for charges of one count of conspiring to obstruct justice and four counts of making false statements to investigators.

Jurors acquitted Raul DeLeon after a three day trial.

DeLeon was charged after an FBI investigation of Denair’s Road Dog cycle shop and owner Robert Holloway were suspected of running a chop shop.

DeLeon was alleged to be giving Holloway inside law enforcement information. The case against DeLeon has appeared weak since the beginning.

Robert Holloway is still being held in custody and is awaiting his trial.
